Someone has wisely said that in relation to the church ... "Where there is no vision the church dies"!

I would like to briefly share with you something of the vision I have for the church here at Narellan

When people talk about the Church here at Narellan I want them to say that we are
M.A.D.

"MAKING A DIFFERENCE"!!

Too often as Christians we appear to be out of touch with what is really happening in the everyday lives of the people of our community.    My vision has been for the Lord ...... continued ...

It is simple, but everything works

School transport

This borrowed school bus is essential for the survival of the school. Many children would not be able to go to school without it. Yet this represents the schools single largest expenditure due to the high cost of fuel prices

The 4 new Classrooms

The building has been built in such a way so that a second storey can be added in the future. The children play in the dirt for the time being.

Year 2 Jhadol Junior school

The first 56 children have already been enrolled. Next year these classroom will expand to hold 160 children. Free evening classes are held for the very poor in the evenings.

The Principals Room

The principals room. Yes he does have a computer - donated. Power is only supplied for 2 to 3 hours per day. Hence everything runs of batteries.

The Principals accomodation

The principals office also doubles up as accomodation & kitchen.

The principals office also acts as the staff meeting room, Pastor Babu (on left hand side) acts as the principal & school administrator.

Jhadol Junior School

Pastor Philip (trustee of the Jhadool School project) standing on the proposed site for the Jhadol Boarding school. Offering a boarding school will be a major way of attracting more students and also is financially more viable than school buses.

Land in the Jhadol District

Most of the land is very stony with little topsoil. Hence the high levels of poverty.

St Matthews School - The school model on which the Jhadol Junior and Secondary school is based on. The dream is that the school will one day look like this.

Ralf's Current Favourite Microfinance Project is the Jhadol School in northwest Rajasthan, India.

There currently 4 classrooms for the junior school and simple amenities but everything works.
