The Great Commission

We believe we are under obligation to fulfil the Commission given to the Church by our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, to proclaim the Gospel and make disciples of all nations.

John 20:21; Jesus therefore said to them again, “Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”

1 Corinthians 1:18; For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 9:16-17; For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast about; for necessity is laid on me; but woe is to me, if I don’t preach the gospel. For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward. But if not of my own will, I have a stewardship entrusted to me.

2 Corinthians 2:15-16; For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God, in those who are saved, and in those who perish; to the one a stench from death to death; to the other a sweet aroma from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?

2 Corinthians 4:3-4; Even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in those who perish; in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.

1 Thessalonians 2:4 But even as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, who tests our hearts.
