A Letter From My Sponsor Child

A Childs HomeI greet you affectionately hoping you are enjoying good health and wishes you success at you work.

My family had a nice Christmas and at his church had a pretty drama. Thank to very much for the Christmas gift. I pray for you and would like to meet you some day. I like to swim in the river with my friends. I like to attend the student centre and have a pretty teacher. I ask you to pray for me and my family. Goodbye with love and send you lots of hugs and kisses.

I sponsor this child through Compassion. In these troubled economic times now is not the time to stop sponsoring as there is a food crisis in the poor countries. While I now have to pay $200 for a DVD player (instead of $20) and may have to retire a little later in life the little I pay per month makes a world of difference.

But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said to them, "Allow the little children to come to me! Don't forbid them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
15 Most assuredly I tell you, whoever will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child, he will in no way enter into it."
16 He took them in his arms, and blessed them, laying his hands on them.

Jesus has a heart for children - so should we

Throughout the Bible, there are many references to children and their significance in society. Jesus Himself was the perfect example of child development: "And the child grew and became strong; He was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon Him." Luke 2:40. These words should guide us when addressing the needs of children.

Jesus frequently talked about children and their importance in the Kingdom: "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Mark 10:14 (NIV). Therefore, as children are strategic in building the kingdom of heaven, it is vital that they are nurtured and valued in their formative years. More . . .
