Training tomorrows missionaries today.
G‘day I‘m Deborah Stanbridge, (daughter of Mark and Liz) and I spent my summer as an Assistant Leader with Teen Missions Int‘l on a summer mission trip to Cambodia.
Teen Missions is a chance for teenagers to serve God overseas during their summer holidays. There slogan is ‘Training tomorrows missionaries today’ and it is all about growing their faith in God, knowledge of him and a heart to serve.
It begins with ten days intensive training at ‘The Lord‘s Boot Camp‘. Here the team meets and learns lots of skills to use on the field.
Mornings begin with an Obstacle Course to build fitness and team unity. The throughout the day are classes on evangelism such as puppets music and personal evangelism, construction such as brick laying, concreting and hammering and bible classes.
Every day everyone has their own personal devotional for 30 mins and every night ends with a ‘night rally‘ with praise time and a bible talk.
Boot camp helps train the team spiritually, emotionally and physically so that nothing is between them and God and they have the skills needed to serve.
My team of 20 including leaders and went to Cambodia they usually send out around 6 teams to different locations around the world.
